What to do is Linksys WiFi extender is not broadcasting SSID name?

Your Linksys WiFi extender must broadcast the SSID name or network name so that all other wireless devices can get connected with the WiFi access. There are some situations when your Linksys WiFi extender does not broadcast the SSID name. your wireless devices will not able to recognize the WiFi access if they are not able to find the WiFi extender broadcasting.

Here are the troubleshooting tips you can try if your Linksys WiFi extender is not broadcasting SSID or the network name.

  • First of all, you will need to make sure that your Linksys WiFi extender and your network router settings are same. That means, you will need to make sure that the SSID, password and channel width settings should be same for your network and Linksys WiFi extender.

  • Security settings for your Linksys WiFi extender and your Linksys WiFi extender should be same.

  • You will need to make sure that your computer system is able to send ping for your WiFi extender. If your computer can’t ping your Linksys WiFi extender you will need to reconsider the settings you have made.

  • Try to power cycle your Linksys WiFi extender if your Linksys WiFi extender is not broadcasting the SSID at all. Power off your Linksys WiFi extender and provider power supply once again after 10 seconds.
  • If your Linksys WiFi extender still not able to broadcast the SSID name you will need to reset your device to default settings. You can find the reset button located at the backside of your WiFi extender device and after resetting your device to default settings you can make sure that your WiFi extender is able to broadcast the SSID Name.
